On the Reuse of Symbolic Simulation Results for Incremental Equivalence Verification of Switch-Level Circuits

چکیده
Incremental methods are successfully applied to deal with successive veri cations of slightly modi ed switchlevel networks. That is, only those parts a ected by the changes are symbolically traversed for veri cation. In this paper, we present an incremental technique for symbolic simulators which is inspired in both existing incremental techniques for non-symbolic simulators and a token-passing mechanisms in Petri nets.

Symbolic Verification of MOS Circuits
The program MOSSYM simulates the behavior of a MOS circuit represented as a switch-level network symbolically. That is, during simulator operation the user can set an input to either 0, 1, or a Boolean variable. The simulator then computes the behavior of the circuit as a function of the past and present input variables. By using heuristically efficient Boolean function manipulation algorithms,...
متن کاملExploiting symmetry when verifying transistor - levelcircuits by symbolic trajectory
|We describe the use of symmetry for veriication of transistor-level circuits by Symbolic Trajectory Evaluation (STE). We present a new formulation of STE which allows a succint description of symmetry properties in circuits. Symmetries in circuits are classiied as structural symmetries, arising from similarities in circuit structure, data symmetries, arising from similarities in the handling o...
متن کاملAutomated Debugging of Arithmetic Circuits Using Incremental Gröbner Basis Reduction
Symbolic algebra is a promising approach to verify large and complex arithmetic circuits. Existing algebraic-based verification methods generate a remainder to indicate buggy implementation. The remainder is beneficial for debugging of the faulty implementation since it can be used for automated test generation, bug localization, and bug correction. However, existing equivalence checking approa...
متن کاملFully Distributed Modeling, Analysis and Simulation of an Improved Non-Uniform Traveling Wave Structure
Modeling and simulation of communication circuits at high frequency are important challenges ahead in the design and construction of these circuits. Knowing the fact that the lumped element model is not valid at high frequency, distributed analysis is presented based on active and passive transmission lines theory. In this paper, a lossy transmission line model of traveling wave switch (TWSW) i...
متن کاملFormal Sequential Equivalence Checking of Digital Systems by Symbolic Simulation
A new approach to sequential verification of designs at different levels of abstraction by symbolic simulation is proposed. The automatic formal verification tool has been used for equivalence checking of structural descriptions at rt-level and their corresponding behavioral specifications. Gate-level results of a commercial synthesis tool have been compared to specifications at behavioral or s...
